DTC B00D5:01 SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location
  • PAD OFF indicator circuit open circuit or short to power supply
Detection condition  
WARNING:
  • Detection conditions are for understanding the DTC outline before performing an inspection. Performing an inspection according to only the detection conditions may cause injury due to an operating error, or damage the system. When performing an inspection, always follow the inspection procedure.
  • Wiring harness between the indicator unit and instrument cluster has a malfunction
  • Indicator unit has a malfunction
Fail-safe function Not applicable
Possible cause
  • Indicator unit connector malfunction
  • Instrument cluster connector malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Instrument cluster terminal M-indicator unit terminal H
      • Instrument cluster terminal Q-indicator unit terminal E
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Instrument cluster terminal M-indicator unit terminal H
      • Instrument cluster terminal Q-indicator unit terminal E
  • Indicator unit malfunction
  • SAS control module malfunction
