| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The exhaust pipe temperature is estimated from the vehicle driving conditions if the estimated exhaust gas temperature is the specified value or more for a certain period of time.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. (The check engine light may be illuminated depending on the malfunction conditions.)
- FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
- DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

- Cooling fan and cooling equipment malfunction
- High engine speed condition continues
- Fuel injection control too lean
- Air suction in intake air system
- Fuel injector clogged
- Ignition timing control improper operation
- PCM malfunction
