DTC B12D3-11: Front Door Lock-Link Switch (LH) Circuit Malfunction: Notes

Description  Front door lock-link switch (LH) circuit malfunction
Detection condition 
  • Any of the following conditions is met with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
    • The BCM detected a short to ground in the front door lock-link switch (LH) lock circuit for 5 s or more  with the front door lock-link switch (LH) unlocked.
    • The BCM detected a short to ground in the front door lock-link switch (LH) unlock circuit for 5 s or more  with the front door lock-link switch (LH) locked.
Fail-safe  Not applicable
Possible cause 
  • Front door latch and lock actuator (LH) connector or terminal malfunction
  • Front door lock-link switch (LH) malfunction
  • Start stop unit connector or terminal malfunction
  • BCM connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Front door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal B-BCM terminal 2B
    • Front door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal D-BCM terminal 2A
    • Start stop unit terminal 1P-Front door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal D
  • Start stop unit malfunction
  • BCM malfunction
