DTC B1D9A:79 (RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY OTHER RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE DTCs Clear the DTC for the retractable hardtop control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE] .) Retrieve the retractable hardtop control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the DTCs U3000:44/U3000:45/U3000:49 displayed?	Yes	Replace the retractable hardtop control module, then go to Step 4. (See RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT FRONT ROOF LINK Verify if the front roof link motor (LH) is disengaged from the front roof link. Is the front roof link motor (LH) disengaged from the front roof link?	Yes	Install the front roof link motor (LH) to the correct position, then go to Step 4. (See ROOF LINK MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT FRONT ROOF LINK MOTOR (LH) Inspect the front roof link motor (LH). (See ROOF LINK MOTOR INSPECTION .) Is the front roof link motor (LH) normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the front roof link motor (LH), then go to the next step. (See ROOF LINK MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the retractable hardtop control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE] .) Retrieve the retractable hardtop control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the retractable hardtop control module. (See RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE] .)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
