DTC B1D9F-14: Rear Roof Link Motor (LH) Circuit Malfunction [Retractable Hardtop Control Module]: Notes

DTC B1D9F:14 (RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Rear roof link motor (LH) circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • The retractable hardtop control module cannot receive a signal from the rear roof link motor (LH) while the rear roof link motor (LH) is operating.
Fail-safe
  • Stops retractable hardtop operation
Possible cause
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between retractable hardtop control module terminal 1D and battery positive terminal
    • CABIN+B 50 A fuse malfunction
    • R_DECK L 30 A fuse malfunction
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between retractable hardtop control module terminal 1D and battery positive terminal
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 2A and rear roof link motor (LH) terminal A
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 2E and rear roof link motor (LH) terminal E
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 2A and rear roof link motor (LH) terminal A
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 2E and rear roof link motor (LH) terminal E
  • Rear roof link motor (LH) malfunction
  • Retractable hardtop control module malfunction
