DTC U2300:56 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCs Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (US)] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	RESET CONFIGURATION DATA FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) Using the M-MDS, perform the body control module (BCM) configuration. (See CONFIGURATION .) Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more. Perform the DTC inspection for the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .) If the CAN communication is normal, replace the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module and perform the repair completion verification. (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification	VERIFY IF OTHER DTC IS DISPLAYED Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
Repair completion verification		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
