DTC U2300:55 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Body control module (BCM) configuration not implemented
Detection condition
  • The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module received a signal which indicates the body control module (BCM) configuration is not performed.
Fail-safe
  • The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
  • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause
NOTE:
  • To correctly write the configuration data sent from the body control module (BCM) to the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module, 30 s or more have to be elapsed since the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on).
  • Body control module (BCM) configuration is not completed.
  • Body control module (BCM) malfunction
  • Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction
