DTC U0423-68: Error Signal Received From Instrument Cluster [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC U0423:68 (VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Error signal received from instrument cluster
Detection condition	The vehicle control module (VCM) receives an error signal related to the cruise control switch from the instrument cluster for 10 s.
Fail-safe	(See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause	Instrument cluster malfunction Clock spring connector or terminal malfunction Short to ground in cruise control switch signal circuit Cruise control switch malfunction Instrument cluster connector or terminal malfunction Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
