DTC U0423-68: Error Signal Received From Instrument Cluster [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC U0423:68 (VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Error signal received from instrument cluster
Detection condition  
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) receives an error signal related to the cruise control switch from the instrument cluster for 10 s.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause  
  • Instrument cluster malfunction
  • Clock spring connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in cruise control switch signal circuit
  • Cruise control switch malfunction
  • Instrument cluster connector or terminal malfunction
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
