- The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module cannot receive the configuration data from the body control module (BCM).

When the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module has not been configured.
- The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
- Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.
When the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module has already been configured.
- Control of the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) is continued.
- Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.

| Possible cause |
NOTE:
- To correctly write the configuration data sent from the body control module (BCM) to the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module, 30 s or more have to be elapsed since the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on).
- DTCs are stored in the body control module (BCM).
- Body control module (BCM) configuration not implemented
- Body control module (BCM) internal memory malfunction
- Body control module (BCM) configuration data error
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction
