DTC B1142:12 (MAZDA EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Mazda EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE control module power supply circuit (IG1) malfunction
Detection condition
  • The Mazda EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE control module detects a short to power supply in the power supply circuit (IG1).
Preconditions 
  • The ignition switched off or ACC.
Fail-safe Not applicable
Possible cause
  • IG1 relay No. 2 malfunction
  • DTCs are stored in the body control module (BCM).
    • Body control module (BCM) connector or terminal malfunction
    • Short to power supply in body control module (BCM) IG1 relay circuit
  • Mazda EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE control module connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power supply in Mazda EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE control module IG1 relay circuit
  • Mazda EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE control module malfunction
