Function Inspection

Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
Display the PIDs APP1 and APP2. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST .) (See PCM INSPECTION .)
Compare the voltage and opening angle indications for the PIDs APP1 and APP2 with the standard in the table indicated below.
- If they do not match the standard, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If they match the standard, perform the voltage inspection. (See VOLTAGE INSPECTION .)
