DTC U0131-00: Can Communication: Communication Error To EPS Control Module

U0131:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication: communication error to EPS control module
Detection condition	A communication error between the PCM and EPS control module continues for the specified period of time.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between EPS control module and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) EPS control module malfunction (Refer to applicable EPS CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
