DTC U0140-00: Can Communication System: Communication Error To Body Control Module (BCM)

U0140:00 (PCM - VIN M) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication system: Communication error to body control module (BCM)
Detection condition	Communication error between the PCM and body control module (BCM) continues for a specified period of time.
Fail-safe	Inhibits engine-stop by operating the i-stop function.
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between body control module (BCM) and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to applicable BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
