Rearview Mirror Removal/Installation: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)CAUTION:
- If the rearview mirror and the mirror base are detached, the rearview mirror may fall off and be damaged. When removing the rearview mirror, perform the work while holding the rearview mirror by hand.
- Move the rearview mirror in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below to detach the rearview mirror from the mirror base.
- Remove the rearview mirror. (See REARVIEW MIRROR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
