DTC B10A4-86: Error Signal Received From Swivel Actuator (RH) [Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) Control Module]

B10A4: 86 (ALH/AFS/ALV) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Error signal received from swivel actuator (RH)
Detection condition
  • The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module received error signal from the swivel actuator (RH).
Fail-safe
  • The swivel actuator (RH) is moved to the center or stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
  • The swivel actuator (LH) is moved to the center.
  • Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued with the headlight leveling actuator positioned-0.65° from where the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause
  1. Front combination light (RH) malfunction (Refer to applicable FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
  2. Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction (Refer to applicable ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
