Programming keys, general - GF80.57-P-9611-01C
Local programming
Local programming of the DAS 3 components is possible when the shop is equipped with a key programming station.
The shops in which such key programming stations are to be installed during the introduction phase and the necessary prerequisites will be announced separately.
Shops without key programming stations will have to contact a shop in their vicinity equipped with a programming station, or contact the responsible MLC/general distributors or ZVL in Germersheim directly for programming components.
If any problems arise while programming or with the user surface on the key programming station, please contact the HOT LINE: 07274/56/3721.
The programming sequence is described in the operating instructions for the key programming station.
Key programming station
The key programming station consists of a PC and key programming unit. The PC is connected to the lock data management by means of a data line. Before starting the programming it is necessary for the user to report to the lock data management using a USER ID.
Key programming unit
New vehicle keys as well as the workshop key can be programmed with the lock data for the vehicle called up from the lock data management using the key programming unit. The key can be inserted into the key programming unit for programming. During the programming procedure the key programming unit must be closed.
Lock data management
The lock data records are stored in the lock data management. Here all confidential data for the lock numbers of the vehicles delivered is stored and managed. Following a request from a service point the data required for programming the components is transferred.
Workshop key
The workshop key serves as a data carrier between the key programming station and the vehicle and vice versa. It is shaped like a vehicle emergency key, the only difference being a green housing and the LED. Data and commands can first be stored in the workshop key with the key programming unit. If the key is then inserted into the EIS, it transfers the data stored in the key to the EIS and then receives a result message from the EIS. This can then be read out by the key programming unit.
Optical signals are output with the LED, which have the following meaning during the programming operation:
- LED on continuously Programming running
- LED off Programming completed, okay
- LED flashing Programming abnormally terminated, not okay
The workshop key can be programmed as often as desired with the key programming station.
