Start-up/basic settings, function - GF82.61-P-2000A
MODEL 140, 210.0 up to 31.12.97 with CODE (351) Auto-pilot system (APS)
Start-up
The APS can be used only after it has been started up properly. After installing a new APS navigation processor (A2/30) the display on the radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29) indicates "PLEASE VISIT WORKSHOP".
Start-up can be accomplished with menu guidance after calling the menu "PLANT SW". Then activate the menu "SERVICE SW".
Then perform the following steps:
- Calibrate compass
- Recalibrate wheels
- Perform system test on navigation processor
- Test functions which can be called up by user:
- Compass test
The electronic compass (B26) is checked for proper connection and function by the APS navigation processor (A2/30).
- Wheel sensor test
The values from the front axle VSS sensors (L6/1 and L6/2) are stored by the navigation processor (A2/30) and indicated on the display of the radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29) .
- GPS test
The connections to the global positioning system control module (GPS, N41/2) and rear GPS antenna (A2/23a2) are checked, the GPS data read out and displayed.
- Compass test
Basic settings
The following basic settings are required for operation of the APS:
- Vehicle model or chassis data
- Type of tires or recalibration of wheels
- Location (by entering or GPS position finding)
The basic settings can be changed with the installation and calibration program.
