Entries for control of auto-pilot system 

Every actuation of a button or knob adjustment relevant for the APS system is relayed to the navigation processor (A2/30)  via the CAN data bus  .

Display 

APS data coming from the navigation processor (A2/30)  via the CAN data bus is shown on the display.

Voice prompt function 

A voice prompt signal from the navigation processor (A2/30)  present at the audio input is superimposed on the audio signal from the radio.

Audio mute 

During an APS voice prompt the audio mute function automatically reduces the radio volume. The audio mute signal is transferred from the navigation processor (A2/30)  to the radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29)  via the CAN data bus.

"Detour" button 

If a traffic jam is announced via the traffic program a route around the traffic jam can be calculated before reaching the section affected. For this purpose press the " Detour  " button  and then enter the length of the traffic jam including the distance to the start of the traffic jam. (This function will be available for all third generation systems in the form of a CD-ROM update as of approx. 5.98).
