IFI [ERE] control module task	To control the operation of the following systems in response to input signals: Fuel supply Injection quantity control Exhaust gas cleaning Boost pressure control (engine 605.960) Cruise control (AT only) Modulator pressure switchover (AT with CC only) A/C compressor shutoff To monitor inputs and outputs, test plausibility and record faults in memory To generate substitute values in the event of signal failure (limp-home mode) To perform diagnosis (output of faults stored in memory)
IFI [ERE] control module function	The IFI [ERE] control module (N3/7) is supplied with voltage from the overvoltage protection relay (K1) or the relay module (K40) (circuit 87 unfused). It detects the input signals and actuates the outputs in line with the operating conditions
