Task
To shut down engine when ignition is set to "OFF", i.e. to place the control rod of the IFI [ERE] fuel quantity actuator (Y23/1) and the IFI [ERE] electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1) into the STOP position.
Function
Upon turning the key to the "STOP" position, the self-holding circuit in the IFI [ERE] control module (N3/7) energizes the IFI [ERE] electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1). The IFI [ERE] control module (N3/7) checks whether the engine has stopped. The IFI [ERE] electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1) is then brought back into circuit. This sequence is necessary in order to check the function of the IFI [ERE] electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1).
