Task
Reducing irregular engine running produced in the idle speed phase (vibrations).
Operation
The IFI control module (N3/7) receives from the IFI/DFI crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) an engine speed signal and detects irregularities in engine speeds. These irregularities in engine speed are rectified by controlling the quantity of fuel injected at the specific cylinders. Idle speed in this case remains constant.
