Control module programming parameterizing airbag - AD91.60-P-2000-12A

After coding the vehicle equipment the airbag indicator and warning lamp SRS (A1e15) flashes as the control module still has to be parameterized.

Currently the parameter set for all passenger car models is identical, with the exception of the cross-country vehicles.

Parameterizing can only be carried out using the Hand-Held Tester (HHT).

IMPORTANT

In order to avoid damage to the ETR control module with airbag (N2/2) the voltage supply must not be interrupted during parameterizing.

Parameterizing can only be carried out once.

NOTE: After programming the vehicle equipment and parameterizing, the flashing airbag indicator and warning lamp SRS (A1e15) goes out.

When an airbag is retrofitted the respective model must be selected in the current Hand-Held Tester module.

The correct vehicle equipment (front passenger airbag โ†’ NO, slip rings โ†’ YES) is carried out automatically when parameterizing an airbag which has been retrofitted.
