The function of the trunk lid remote control switch (N72s15) is enabled by the lower control field control module (N72).
- the emergency opening function is triggered
- by central unlocking using the transmitter key after automatically locking it
- by central unlocking
using the lock switches (only

) after automatically locking it,
- by unlocking using the interior switch CL (S6/1s2)
The switch function is blocked by the lower control field control module (N72) , if
- the automatic lock function is triggered, or
- unlocked using the interior switch CL (S6/1s2) or
- the roll bar (RB)/soft top operation control module (N52) signals over the CAN interior bus that the soft top is unlocked or that the power soft top switch (S84) has been pressed.
Actuation of the trunk lid remote control switch (N72s15) is detected by the lower control panel control module (N72). If the switch function has been enabled, then the lower control panel control module (N72) sends the command to open the trunk lid over the CAN to the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) (A37). The PSE opens the trunk lid pneumatically , if the trunk lock has not been locked through the lock cylinder being set to the 90° position.
