SERVICE INFORMATION
03/00-2 GROUP 72 - MODEL 220, DOOR CONTROL MODULE FAILURE: Please note that door control module connector failures on the V220 may result from excessive soap solution attacking the electrical connectors. This may occur when after market window-tinting film is applied. During this process, the glass needs to be well lubricated to squeegee out the air bubbles between the glass and the film. The lubricant can run down the glass and enter the electrical connectors. To avoid this complaint, we strongly recommend that the interior door panels and door control modules be removed and the electrical connectors be covered to prevent the lubricant from penetrating the connectors and causing corrosion and subsequent poor conductivity.
