DTC Description (Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Solenoid Valve Torque Converter Lock-Up)

Fault Memory & Actuation Of MIL - MIL is turned on after 2 consecutive driving cycles with fault.
Frequency Of Testing - Continuous.
Checked Signal Or Status - On/off ratio (duty cycle), actuation of PWM solenoid valve.
Lower Limit Value - Duty cycle less than 5 percent.
Upper Limit Value - Duty cycle more than 94 percent.
Duration Of Test - Approximately one second.

NOTE: Faults (an open or short) are recognized by the Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) module and sent to the ME-SFI control module via the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus. The ME-SFI control module carries out fault memory and actuation of Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). Also read out ETC fault memory, fault code 5.
