Coolant temperature sensor position Engine 104 GF07.04-P-5026-02D
    Engine 111 GF07.04-P-5026-02GS
Coolant temperature sensor task Detecting the coolant temperature and supplying information to the engine control module
Coolant temperature sensor design Metal housing with NTC resistor. 2-pin plug connection
Contact assignment at connector:
Contacts 1 and 2 engine control module
Metal housing with two NTC resistors. 4-pin plug connection Contact assignment at connector:
Contacts 1 and 2 engine control module
Contact 3 and 4 air conditioning/ automatic air conditioning

Coolant temperature sensor function The NTC resistor alters its electrical resistance in line with the coolant temperature. NTC means negative temperature coefficient, in other words the electrical resistance becomes less as the temperature rises:
    Coolant temperature resistance
    20°C 3100 Ω ± 5%
    80°C 315 Ω ± 5%
