Knock Sensor

If uncontrolled knocking occurs at one or several cylinders, ignition timing is retarded at the relevant cylinder. The 5.8L V12 engine measures engine knock utilizing an ionic current measurement. All other engines measure engine knock using the piezoelectric effect.
