Safety Circuit

Recognizes faulty signals inside and outside electronic control unit. Safety circuit intervenes in control sequence during extreme driving conditions, such as hydroplaning. When fault is recognized, system is switched off. The condition is indicated to driver by illumination of a warning light.

The safety circuit continuously monitors battery voltage. If voltage is less than specified requirements, system is switched off until voltage is within specified range. Safety circuit also includes active test cycle section or BITE (Built-In Test Equipment).
