DTC Description (CAN Fault Recognition)

- Fault Memory & Actuation Of MIL - MIL is turned on after 2 consecutive driving cycles with fault.
- Frequency Of Testing - Continuous.
- Checked Signal Or Status - The Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) module monitors wheel speed signal from the Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) control module and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) control module for plausibility through the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus.
- Duration Of Test - Approximately one second.
NOTE:
Faults are recognized by the Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) module and sent to the ME-SFI control module via the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus. The ME-SFI control module carries out fault memory and actuation of Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). Also read out ETC fault memory, fault codes 22, 23 and 38.
