	Remove/install
	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000T
2	Remove trim panel for cylinder head cover and for charge air distribution pipe		AR01.20-P-5014-02C
		Bolt, cylinder head cover trim panel at cylinder head	*BA01.20-P-1002-01G
		Bolt of trim panel to charge air distribution pipe	*BA01.20-P-1003-01G
3	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150T
4	Remove heat shield above turbocharger		AR49.00-P-1000-01T
5	Remove and separate connector for O2 sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2x1) from bracket on exhaust gas recirculation cooler
6	Expose electrical feed line of O2 sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)	Installation: Install new tie straps.
7	Unscrew O2 sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) from catalytic converter (111)	Installation: Coat the thread with heat-resistant lubricant.

8	Install in the reverse order
9.1	Erase DTC memory	After replacing the O2 sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2): ↓
		Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. 10	Conduct engine test run and inspect exhaust system for leaks
