Automatic Air Conditioning Push-button Control Module Software Change

SERVICE INFORMATION

For the above model vehicles as of Model Year 2004 (VIN A458810), there has been a software change to the automatic air conditioning push button control module (N22). The speed of the rear blower motor (M2/1) cannot exceed the speed setting of the front blower motor (A32/m1). The rear blower controls (N72/2s3) can be set higher than the fan speed for the front blower motor. The LED indicators will also show a higher fan speed. However, the speed of the rear fan will not be higher than that of the front. This function is not a failure and is described in the USA Edition B 2004 version of the Operator's Manual.

If this part is installed in a Model Year 2002 to 2003 vehicle, the rear blower motor will now function as above. Please be sure to advise the owner regarding this change in operation.
