If it is not possible to engage a drive position from selector lever position "P" due to a mechanical or electrical/electronic fault, the selector lever position "P" lock can be released using the shift lock override function.

To do this, the coin holder in the center condole must be unclipped and a suitable tool must be used to pressed on the lever (90) through the guide (95) beneath it (arrow). The selector lever position "P" lock is released via a bolt in the lock solenoid valve. The selector lever can be moved from position "P" by simultaneously operating the lock lever.
