Remove/Install Cover Below Instrument Panel (Left)

Remove/Install 

1. 1 -  Move driver's seat all the way down.
2. 2 -  Disconnect battery ground cable. See DISCONNECT/CONNECT BATTERY'S GROUND CABLE .
3. 3 -  Remove bolt (2). See Fig 1.
4. 4.1 -  Unclip clip from cover (1).
5. 5 -  Pull hood release (3) out of the cover (1), detach release cable (4) and remove hood release (3).
6. 6 -  Unscrew bolts (5).
7. 7 -  Fold cover (1) down.

   During Installation:  ensure correct connection of the air duct (8).

8. 8 -  Slide lock on data link connector (X11/4) in direction of arrow and remove data link connector (X11/4) from cover (1).
9. 9 -  Disconnect electrical connector (6) at the central gateway control unit (N93).
10. 10 -  Disconnect electrical connector (7) at the left front footwell lamp (E17/16).
11. 11 -  Remove cover (1) out of the footwell.
12. 12 -  Install in the reverse order.
