Interior motion sensor/anti-towing sensor, function - GF80.50-P-0002B: Notes

MODEL 170 as of 1.10.99 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA) with CODE (882a) Interior motion sensor (infrared) 

The interior motion sensor monitors the side windows with infrared light with the aid of transmitter and receiver units. The function is also possible with soft top open.

The anti-towing sensor function monitors the vehicle inclination.

If a break-in attempt is made or the position of the vehicle changes (e.g. by lifting/towing away) the anti-theft alarm triggers an acoustic and optical alarm.

The interior motion sensor and anti-towing sensor functions are activated together with the anti-theft alarm (ATA) when the following prerequisites are fulfilled:

• All doors and the glove compartment are closed.
• The trunk lid and the engine hood are closed.
• The interior motion sensor and anti-towing sensor function was not deactivated before activating the ATA.
