MODEL 211.0/2 with CODE (220a) Parktronic system (PTS)

If the vehicle approaches an obstacle when reversing (v ≤ 16 km/h), the rear and front components of Parktronic are active.

The front sensors (6 pieces) of the front bumper PTS sensor unit (A42) detect obstacles:

• in the range of A (15 cm to 60 cm)
• in the range of B (20 cm to 100 cm)

The rear sensors (4 pieces) of the rear bumper PTS sensor unit (A43) detect obstacles:

• in the range of C (20 cm to 80 cm)
• in the range of D (20 cm to 120 cm)

The driver is alerted visually and acoustically by the

• PTS warning display, rear (A44/3) and the
• PTS warning display, center of instrument panel (A44/4).

For a better distinction as to whether an obstacle is located in front of or behind the vehicle, the acoustic warning message is output at different frequencies. The warning signal for the PTS warning display, center of instrument panel (A44/4) has a higher frequency.
