Normalization of power windows, function - GF72.29-P-4003SX
MODEL 221.0 /1 up to Model Year 8
Normalization
Normalizing means learning in the upper mechanical window stop (zero point) into the door control unit (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3 or N69/4).
The corresponding window must be completely closed and still pressed, via the
- Left front power window switch (S20/1s1)
- Right front power window switch (S20/1s2)
- Left rear power window and side window roller blind switch (S20/1s3)
- Right rear power window and side window roller blind switch (S20/1s4)
- Power window switch, passenger (S21/2)
- Left rear power window switch (S21/3) and right rear power window switch (S21/4) (without code (297) Roller sun blinds in rear doors, without code (413) Panoramic sliding roof and without code (540) Electric rear window roller blind)
- Left rear power window and side window roller blind switch (S21/21s1, S21/21s3, S21/22s1 or S21/22s3) (with code (297) Roller sun blinds in rear doors, with code (413) Panoramic sliding roof or with code (540) Electric rear window roller blind)
The corresponding door control unit then sets the location counter for the Hall sensors to zero if it has recognized a lockup of the power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 or M10/6) for approx. 0.3 s.
Denormalization
Denormalizing occurs when:
- a location counter status is reached when raising, going beyond the stored zero point
- a location counter status is reached when lowering, greater than the maximum window path
- a wrong running direction is recognized
- a Hall sensor signal is erroneous
- the supply voltage (c. 30) for the door control unit is not present for > 60 s
The cause for desnormalization is stored in the corresponding door control unit.
