Position storage of dynamic seat with memory, function - GF91.25-P-2014LE

MODEL 216.3 with CODE (432) Left and right dynamic multicontour seat as of model year 2009 /YoM 08

MODEL 221.0 /1 with CODE (432) Left and right dynamic multicontour seat with CODE (275) Electrically adjustable front seats memory package as of model year 2009 up to 2010 /YoM 08 up to YoM 09

Function requirements, general

IMPORTANT The position storage function is described at the driver seat for left-hand drive vehicles by way of an example, but this also applies for the front passenger seat.

Function description for position storage, general

The pressures adjusted in the driver seat's multicontour cushions and the setting of the "dynamic seat" dynamic program can be stored in the non-volatile memory of the left front dynamic seat control unit (N32/19) and called up again. The stored positions are saved and retrieved via the memory switch (S22s6) and memory 1 switch (S22s7), memory 2 switch (S22s8), or memory 3 switch (S22s9) of the left front seat operation switch group (S22).

IMPORTANT Storage in the instrument cluster (A1) is confirmed by an acknowledge tone.

IMPORTANT While saving, not only the seat cushion contour but also the position of the seat adjustment, the steering column, and the two outside mirrors on the driver-side are stored.

The status of the switches is read in via the front door LIN (LIN B1) by the left front door control unit (N69/1) (model 221) or the left door control unit (N69/1) (model 216) and then sent via the interior CAN to the left front seat control unit (N32/1). The left front seat control unit then transmits the command to store and adjust the corresponding position to the left front dynamic seat control unit.

Abort conditions

The position saving function has the following structure:

Saving a seat contour

The seat contour is stored using the memory switch and memory 1 switch, memory 2 switch or memory 3 switch of the left front seat operation switch group.

There are 2 options available for storing the seat contour:

It is possible to overwrite the stored values at any time. No cushion contour has been saved at the factory (cushion at minimum pressure).

It is possible to store an adjusted cushion contour during the massage function. The currently set cushion contour is stored. The massage program is not interrupted.

IMPORTANT To actuate a stored seat contour, hold down corresponding memory 1 switch, memory 2 switch or memory 3 switch until the stored seat contour is actuated. If the button is released, adjustment is terminated.

Retrieving a seat contour

A stored seat contour can be restored at a later time by pressing memory 1 switch, memory 2 switch or memory 3 switch. A memory request issued via memory 1 switch, memory 2 switch or memory 3 switch during the "Massage program" function will cancel this function temporally. After that, the requested memory position is actuated again.
