Function 

The dynamic seat combines the advantages of a comfortable seat with those of a sport seat.

The seat contours are adjusted through the following air cushions:

• Air cushions in the upper leg area of the seat cushion (A)
• Air cushions in the sides of the seat cushion (B)
• Air cushions in the sides of the backrest (C)
• Air cushions in lumbar support area of backrest (D)
• Air cushions in shoulder area of backrest (E)

A base pressure in the side air cushions ensures the lateral support of the dynamic seat.

When cornering, the brief supply of pressure in the outer curve air cushions improves lateral support.

This essentially happens as a function of the vehicle speed and the lateral acceleration.

The dynamic seat also is equipped with the dynamic lumbar (massage) function, which prevents the build-up of tensions in the back during long trips.

On model 221 with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) and on model 216, the current seat adjustments can be stored or called up.

Additionally, the setting of the steering column and the outside mirrors is stored on the driver-side.
