To ensure the quality of the seat mechanics, the number of mechanical hard stops has to be limited. The bloom cutout is active for the driver and the front passenger seat.

Function using the driver seat as an example 

All mechanical limit stops are approached via a manual adjustment request using the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) (this does not apply to the rear stop of the backrest adjustment). When the limit stop is reached, the appropriate switch of the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) or the right door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S92/2) remains pressed down for 0.3 s. The appropriate locking position is defined as the limit stop via the position measurement and stored in the front seat adjustment control module with memory and easy entry, driver (N32/1). The driver seat now has a normalized status. With each additional adjustment request, the appropriate drive is cut out right before the blocking position is reached.

Deleting the stored end positions 

The stored end positions in the front seat adjustment control module with memory and easy entry, driver (N32/1) are deleted, if:

• adjustment have been made or
• the front seat adjustment control module with memory and easy entry, driver (N32/1) was disconnected from the voltage supply or
• the distance of the recognized front and rear end position is less than about 90% of the maximum range of adjustment (minimum distance) or
• the seats are not normalized.

After the stored values are deleted, the end positions are stored again when the mechanical limit stops are approached again.
