Function
The driver seat position in the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory and easy entry (N32/1) is stored dependent upon the key, in other words three memory positions can be stored for each transmitter key (A8/1).
The electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) converts the currently used key track (dependent on transmitter key (A8/1)) into a memory block number. If key dependency is enabled, there is a standard assignment between the key track, the storage block number and the memory area. It is transmitted cyclically via the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B).
If key-dependency is switched off in the instrument cluster (A1), all the settings are assigned to memory block number 3. If the key dependency is switched off, the EIS control unit (N73) transmits only the memory block number 3.
The following settings are stored depending upon the key:
- Driver's seat position
- Steering column position
- outside rearview mirror position
- mirror park position
- Air conditioning settings
- Adjustments in instrument cluster (A1)
