The position indicator in the instrument cluster (A1) is actuated by the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) via the Controller Area Network bus class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C).

The program indicator in the instrument cluster (A1) is actuated by the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) likewise via CAN-C.

The program selection performed at the transmission mode switch (S16/5) only remains stored after a driving time of approx. 1 minute and is then displayed again once the engine is started again. The driving time of approx. 1 minute is necessary because of the system.

The selector diagram system of symbols (87) is illuminated when the driving lamps are switched on
