Short Message Service (SMS), function - GF82.70-P-2014RBU

The Universal Portable CTEL Interface (UPCI [UHI]) control unit (N123/1) recognizes, when a new Short Message Service (SMS) message is received on each portable CTEL (A34/6) and then sends this to the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) where it is then displayed.

In the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) the received SMS messages are sorted according to their status into the "read" and "unread" lists. The user also has the option at any time to delete SMS messages that are no longer required.

SMS messages can only be sent directly using the portable CTEL (A34/6).

IMPORTANT Only those SMS messages are shown on the COMAND operating, display and control unit's (A40/3) display, which were received while the portable CTEL (A34/6) was plugged into the UPCI [UHI] portable CTEL holder (Universal Handy Interface) (A34/15).
