Remove/install pressure differential sensor (DPF) - AR07.04-P-0012OGE

ENGINE 642 in MODEL 207, 212, 218, 222 

MODIFICATION NOTES

4.4.13 Loosen hose clamps on pressure lines, added Operation step 6

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position ENGINE 642 in MODEL 222  
1.2 Open engine hood ENGINE 642 in MODEL 207, 212, 218  
    ENGINE 642 in MODEL 207, 212 AR88.40-P-1000EW
2 Remove right air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1150SXI
3 Disconnect electrical connection (2) at DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8)    
4 Remove screw/bolt (1) on DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, pressure differential sensor to bracket *BA07.04-P-1006-01G 
5 Remove bracket for pressure hose (3); to do this unscrew nut (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, pressure differential sensor to bracket *BA07.04-P-1009-01G 
6 Release hose clamps on pressure lines NOTES Only hose clamps for pressure hoses (3) may be loosened at the pressure lines. Loosening hose clamps on the DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8) can cause hairline cracks to form on the DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8) as well as malfunctioning.
IMPORTANT Replace hose clamps if necessary.
 
7 Detach DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8) with pressure hoses (3) from pressure lines    
8 Remove DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8) with pressure hoses (3)    
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Connect Star Diagnosis, read out fault memory and clear if necessary    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   ENGINE 642 in MODEL 207, 212, 218 AD00.00-P-2000-04A
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   ENGINE 642 in MODEL 222 AD00.00-P-2000-04B
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11 Carry out an engine test run
