COMPLAINT
When using SD cards with software which was updated using the Download Manager in the period between 1/13/2016 and 1/22/2016, the following message may be displayed in the vehicle (cf. pictures in attachment):
"Production check
An update card is not supported.
Please contact your local Mercedes-Benz dealer."
This only affects older SD cards labeled with the version designation V2.2 or less and occurs even when the software update was completed successfully with no error messages using the Download Manager.
NOTE:
- As of Download Manager Version 2.0.20 (available since 10/9/2015) the "Settings" menu can be used to save and restore the data on the SD card.

CAUSE
Download Manager software release
REMEDY
- Do not replace SD cards.
- Delete the file "downloadmanager.xml" from the SD card using windows explorer and then perform another software update of the SD card using the Download Manager Version 2.0.26 (available as of 1/23/2016) or higher
.NOTE: If, when starting an older version of the Download Manager, an update is not automatically made to the required version, you will have to update the Download Manager manually first to enable a software update of the SD card to be conducted successfully.
