Location
The light switch module is located in the left of the instrument panel next to the steering wheel. The headlamp range controller (S1/1), except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, is integrated in the light switch module on the left next to the rotary light switch.
Task
The following components are actuated by the light switch module:
- Exterior lights (ABL) via rotary light switch
- Headlamp range adjustment (HRA [LWR]), except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, via headlamp range controller
The rotary light switch also indicates the switching status of the front fog lamps, except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, and the switching status of the additional front fog lamp and the switching status of the rear fog lamp (one indicator lamp for each) on vehicles with code (L16) Halogen front fog lamps.
