Location 

The MRM control unit is located on the steering column underneath the steering wheel.

Task 

The MRM control unit forms the interface between driver and vehicle and transfers the signals to Controller Area Network bus class C (engine compartment) (CAN C):

• Steering angle sensor (N80b1)
• Combination switch (N80s1)
• Cruise control switch (N80s2)
• Right multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
• + and - button (S110s1) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
• Accept/terminate phone call button (S110s3) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
• Signaling horn button (S110s5) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
• Left multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
• Scroll forward/back button (S111s1) (on vehicles with code (CL4), Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer)
