The trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit is located in the driver seat frame.
Task
The trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit forwards the signals of the exterior lights system (ABL) to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58) and reports any change in status.
The trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit is connected to the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) CAN-B and communicates with the following control units via this CAN:
- With the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- The trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit transmits e.g. "ANH_ERK (trailer operation detected)"
- The trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit receives e.g. "U_BATT (battery voltage)"
- With the instrument cluster (A1)
