Remove/install COMMAND controller unit - AR82.85-P-1100SC

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Temporarily store basic data from the COMMAND controller unit (A40/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing the COMMAND controller unit (A40/3).  
    IMPORTANTInstallation:  Transfer temporarily stored basic data to the new COMMAND controller unit (A40/3).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
3 Remove cover for upper control panel control unit.   AR68.20-P-2314SC
4 Loosen bolts (1) IMPORTANT Screws (1) remain in the COMMAND controller unit (A40/3).  
5 Remove COMMAND control unit (A40/3) from instrument panel and disconnect electrical connector at rear of COMMAND control unit (A40/3). IMPORTANTInstallation:  Carefully slide COMMAND control unit (A40/3) into instrument panel to prevent damaging electric leads and fiber optic cables.

6 Install in the reverse order
