Location
The lower control panel control unit is located in the center console.
Task
The lower control panel control unit is connected over the center console switch LIN (LIN B12) to the SAM control unit (N10). The requests selected by the driver are read in by the SAM control unit over the center console switch LIN and sent to the interior CAN (CAN B).
The following functions are requested, depending on the equipment, by actuating the buttons located on the lower control panel control unit:
- Downhill Speed Regulation with speed setting adjustable to between v = 4 and 18 km/h by actuating the Downhill Speed Regulation button
- Switching of transmission mode to Economy "E", Sport "S" and Manual "M" by pressing the automatic transmission mode button
- Raise and lower the vehicle level by pressing the vehicle level button
- Change the damping system to "Sport ON" and "Comfort OFF" or "Sport OFF" and "Comfort ON" by pressing the Comfort/Sport (ADS) button
- Off-road program by pressing the Off-road program button
- Change from on-road ratio (high) to off-road ratio (low) by actuating the Low Range button
- Transmission mode over the transmission mode "M" button
- Level adjustment through pressing the vehicle level rotary switch
- Open and close menu by pressing On-/Off-road menu button
