24 GHz close-up range radar sensors are used in the following systems:
- Distronic Plus (for code (233) Distronic Plus)
- Brake Assist PLUS (for code (233) Distronic Plus)
- Park Assist (for code (229) Park Assist)
- Parking guidance (for code (229) Park Assist)
- Proximity warning device (ABW) (for code (233) Distronic Plus)
The radar sensor system is to separately approved for each country. It is important to ensure that functions to be based on the radar sensor system are deactivated, via the instrument cluster, in countries where approval has not been awarded or in within a defined radius of radio astronomical installations.
